WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is a comprehensive DVD ripping tool that you can use to copy or backup DVDs or transfer DVD videos to mobile phones or portable devices. On top of ripping DVDs to nearly all video formats used nowadays, the program is able to create 1:1 copies of your DVDs, process DVDs with copy protection, and more.
The application has a well organized interface that helps you carry out a conversion in three steps: load DVD, select a format, and start conversion. After loading a DVD disc, ISO image, or DVD folder, you can select the titles/chapters you want to rip. A button beside each title gives you access to options like trimming and cropping. Prior to conversion, you can preview the video in the built-in player to the left, and from there you can also take snapshots.
Output formats supported are arranged into tabs in the main window, and include AVI (Xvid, DivX), MP4, MOV, WMV, FLV, MPEG, and MP3. Tabs below the general video formats comprise presets for portable devices, like iPod, iPad, PSP, and version 6.5 also adds support for Android devices, HTC, and Samsung phones. Clicking on one of these tabs will bring up a variety of options and a list of profiles with video and audio resolutions for different PMP's models. Choosing one of these profiles should be enough to complete basic conversion tasks, but the app lets you adjust all the video and audio parameters as well.
As opposed to the free version, the Platinum edition is able to create 1:1 DVD copies with subtitle and audio tracks, and has the ability to bypass copy protections. Additional features of this edition include 'advanced settings', with support for multi-core CPU (up to 8 cores), which should speed up conversion considerably, audio/video synchronization, and deinterlacing. |

Added: Load ISO Image. WinX DVD Ripper Platinum supports ISO 9660 image as input DVD source now. It allows users to rip DVD ISO image to iPad/iPhone MP4 video, copy titles from ISO image and convert DVD ISO file to AVI, DivX, H264,MPEG4, FLV, etc..
